A (??) funny (??) thing ...

… happened yesterday.

 

On my way to a nap, I decided to read a bit more (of the book I've, most recently, been re-familiarizing mySelf with - "Science of Survival"). I've been pretty diligent, over the past few months, in my  ?review? of 'the Basics' and been highly rewarded for having done so. Much of what I've ?experienced? from the venture IS just what I have been working toward sharing here. THIS, just happens to be the latest.

… here's what I read earlier, SOLELY - as it relates to ME (excerpted & edited for 'key' points from SoS - Book II, pg 478)

And, again - solely as it relates to Me, here are some 'notes' I wrote directly thereafter :

This flows over into 'the Power of 8' [An add'l concept/realization/prgm I've been developing for sharing here.] in that each of the subsequent organisms/sections, at the start, KNOW the 'overall' GOAL but, lose some of the 'vision' in focusing on the 'details' of their particular 'assignment' & their ability to create the effect(s) for which they were /are (initially) endowed in contributing to the Whole. --- Whereas the GIant, unhindered by such 'strands' of ?focus? Retains the ?? FULLER ?? view. 

 

(A ?correlation?  w/ "Gulliver's Travels" threaded itself amongst my meanderings at the time  - although no 'specific notes' were written of it.)

 

This (excerpt) may also have DIRECT ?manifestations?repercussions? (for me) on my actual vision, ie., eyesight ???  In that I have been reducing the true ability of my VIEW to better "See" things as others do, for quite some time now. --- Talk about 'a trap' ? ! ?

 

AND it manifests itself in just 'what it is' that " I " focus on --- because there were/are to be 'others' to handle the minutia --- thus " I " didn't Need To KNOW it & began selectively reducing what it was/is that " I " ?could? see.

 

TUNNEL vision : 'cause one could NOT possibly retain ALL info/data/etc with which he/she comes in direct , or even indirect, contact with … BULLSHIT, you not only can, you have --- we've simply 'placed it' OUTSIDE of our own awareness --- so we are continually surprised/amazed at things (truths) that we ?stumble upon? recall & recognize (and then question it's validity -- HaHaHa ! Jokes on US).

 

AS AN ADD"L ASIDE : 50 yrs ago (Yep, half a century) I made a ?decision? to "NOT 'read' people" as well as I could at the time. It was 'nothing' for me to meet someone for the very first time and KNOW, within minutes, More 'about them & their lives' than I felt ?comfortable ? with Knowing. I even developed a slight 'parlor trick' [a set of 5 inconsequential  questions] to shield/hide my true ?talent/ability? although I really hadn't a clue as to just 'what' that talent/ability was (at the time).

 

I KNOW, now, that I was simply 'viewing Their own [mental image] pictures' but I was quite disconcerted by ALL of the data/info which I was receiving. I felt like a 'peeping Tom' - surreptitiously looking into the most personal aspects of another's Life WITHOUT consent or knowledge. I was "invading Their privacy" and had No Right to do so; therefore, I 'set it aside'.

 

SO - I've ?always? known that my own viewpoint (ie., being That point from which " I " view things) has been a ?tad different? than most - it's just 'nice' to know that I just might NOT be as 'weird' as I've thought - and I am More 'comfortable' (than ever) with the View(s) I have. [Mayhaps You are too !]

Three years, one month & three days ...

... Boy ! How time flies when one is havin' ?fun? (or, life & livingness get in the way - of more important endeavors).

Naturally, MUCH has changed in the interim (and iffn you'd care to 'catch up', on some of the highlights, check out my FB page - I'd luv to 'get to know ya' !). The MOST beneficial 'change' (as it relates to this site, however) was/is that I am NOW coming to you on my 'first-ever', totally NEW, PC; and, I would have been 'in' sooner [I've had it since Jan/Feb] but, it came w/ Windows 8 (and I was only, just then, somewhat 'comfortable' w/ XP).

NOW - that I am a tad more familiar w/ it's 'idiosyncrasies' & feel as tho' I can find 'what I want, when I want it' you might expect to hear more from me. At present, I make NO promises as to frequency but, there is a hell-of-a-lot I've been wanting to share and, hope that you will find some benefit (for yourself, or others) in it as we go.

I am so, so tired ...

... of having to say "I'm back" !

Really - I have NEVER left, but have been continually INTERRUPTED in my endeavors, for lack of appropriate funds, to maintain this high-falootin' equipment we use now-a-days in place of personal contact.

Since the mid-80's my computers have either been hand-me-downs or, more recently, purchased Used. The only one which has NOT failed me is the "work-horse" I started with, and still have (in FULL working order) ? ! ? The only (?) difficulty is that it runs on Windows 3.1 w/ a 14-point modem. [Sort of like, riding a moped on the freeway, today.]

Naturally, the investments that I have made (over the years) went into transfer & upgrade of the programs I needed, in order to maintain the content of my original creations - while trying my best NOT TO fall too, too far behind the advancements being made. It didn't work ! For, once again, I find myself in the position of having to ?rebuild? (MOST of what I had already considered complete) due to the crash of my latest laptop ? ! ?

Seeing as this surely is not my first time, at crashing & burning, you'd think one might get used to it. And, admittedly, it is QUITE disparaging - but, I ain't OUT yet. And, YES - it just might be that I'm beating a dead horse --- but, dammit, I'm not giving up until "I KNOW" it's dead.

THEREFORE, I shall no longer be indicating (anywhere) that "I'm back" but that "I AM - still here".

As I have just now finished listing them, I canNOT guarantee that all the connections work but, then again, I don't foresee ALL visitors attempting the complete journey through the entire myriad of my personal and professional meanderings.

They are there primarily - to share with others who may have comparative interests AND, perhaps more importantly so that I can now proceed with many of my own ORIGINAL intentions with/for them as my reference points ! ? ! Gradually I shall not only be updating these sites/connections - but bringing much of their content here ( HOME - where it belongs).

Damn ! Another week ...

... is almost gone BUT, I have been "busy". Flocking - mostly; but all-in-all making slow (??) but sure progress in renewing some key connections.

I have also found that some material, which I had thought I would have to totally reconstruct, IS "still where I left it" and only needs some cosmetic work to update the data. The ?trouble? has been with the browser - NOT the data.

I apparently created/uploaded these sites way-back-when I was using Netscape rather than Internet Explorer. I found the original "glitch" by FLOCKing, but find that I get the best results through Firefox (the Mozilla browser) !

SOooo - iffn you're really, Really interested - in finding out just who it is that's running this Hoosegow; where he's been and what's he done : Grab the free Firefox and check out http://home.att.net/~nytrans ; My "memorial" site at http://home.att.net/~dltbf ; AND http://home.att.net/~jst_n_otr which will be the FIRST to be updated because it is currently missing about 12 pages ???

Sunday is coming to a close.

The week is done & I've completed what I "had" to - NOT all that I wanted, but what progress I have made only inspires me to do more, and I look forward to "gettin' to it". I've truly had a GREAT week overall and the best part of it is that I know "why" it was so good - COMMUNICATION. That was (is & and always shall be) "the key".

My lines (and thus, my life) ARE expanding. I had opportunity to connect with family & friends I hadn't spoken with in awhile; AND privileged enough to add another 3 or 4 acquaintences, whose own interests and activities are inspirational each in their own way.

I even took a moment or two to update my MYspace and gave it a more "personal" touch - something I hadn't done since first logging on ? ! ? And there's much more to come - perhaps you'll join me ???
